Xiangxi Autonomous Prefecture of Tujia and Miao Nationalities is the only autonomous prefecture for minority nationalities in Hunan. It is inhabited by people of the Tujia, Miao, Hui, Dong and Bai nationalities, who constitute 72% of the total population.
